Chuck Riffenburg
Executive Producer
Chuck saw his first garage band at the age of three. Yep, you read it right...3!
As legend has it, Chuck once told his mother that he wanted to ride his tricycle down to the corner to meet his older sister on her way home from school. Instead, he sneaked around the corner, down the block and watched some older “dudes” jam in their garage. He’s been hooked ever since.
He got his start in radio at Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan when he figured out he could take a radio production class and get grades for spinning Aerosmith records. Eventually, he ran out of radio classes to take and decided to make the transition to television production class.
After receiving his associate degree from Macomb, he enrolled at Wayne State University. Soon he found himself on the staff of WAYN, the student-run radio station. From there he went on to serve an internship at WRIF/Detroit and soon became the studio assistant for “The Riff Sonic Rendezvous.”
He received his BA from Wayne State University in 1987.
He is an award winning TV producer having produced and directed “Detroit’s Underground” for MediaOne and produced “Battle of the Bands” for Comcast.
Chuck enjoys his radio home sitting on the other side of the console from Uncle Ron.
